Racist. Wait a minute. (This entry ada unsur2 perkauman, not me, just the society I live in.)

When I talk about other races, and how bad they are, is that consider racist? Altho what I said would be all facts?!. What if I talk bad about my own race, would that consider racist too? (tetiba teringat movie White Chicks! hhahahhaha).

I know, I know, I know its senstive issue.

Somtimes I just cannot put it into words how can people relate something with race, contohnya, janji melayu, cakap putar alam macam india, kedekut macam cina, busuk macam orang putih ndak mandi. Eh hello, bukan melayu saja yang selalu lambat datang majlis u know. Now is very common. And not chinese pple only yang kedekut no? I know some NOT chinese so the taik hidung masin nak mampos dan cakap putar alam... I know more malays cakap putar alam than Indian friends. So, how?

Well, im writing from our personal experiences. Maybe, there is some truth.

Berapakah belanjawan nikah-kawein anda?

Sekarang nie harga barang naik. Minyak masak hidden away by shop-keeper untuk di naikkan harga, maka itu lah yang paling penting dalam urusan kenduri nikah kawein! Macam mana mo masak if tiada minyak masak. isk isk isk...

Dulu-dulu RM5k untuk anak perempuan yang ada ijazah, 2nd class degree with honour tu kira amat lah murah. Semua rasa macam tidak percaya. Dah tu di naikkan ke RM10k, mahal sangat lah pulak, macam jual anak katanya. Time tu barang lom naik lagi, so RM5K kira, okay-lah.

And now, RM10K for yang ada diploma pun, masih tidak cukup. Kalau bole RM15 + 2 ekor kerbau tumbang. Untuk anak perempuan yang muda dan berpendidikan. Harga barang naik sudah, katanya.

So, what happen to anak anak perempuan yang sudah berumur dan tidak ada diploma? What happen to perempuan yang muda also tiada diploma? Berapa harga hantaran belanjanya agak agaknya?

Choice A: Belanja hotel lagi, dewan lagi, khemah lah, itu lah, ini lah. Amacam lah nie? Kalau buat di hotel senang, makan ready (makanan hotel lah), no need marquees, no need to worry if its raining. What you need to do, just pay. But with RM10k can it be managed? Issit possible to accommodate your guests, families and friends?

Choice B: Kalau di dewan serbaguna. No need marquees, food bole main order sendiri from your own choices of caterer. Kalau hujan pun ndak payah susah hati, still not gonna get wet. What you need to do , just pay. But with RM10K, can it be managed? Issit possible to accommodate your guests, families and friends?

Choice C: Kalau di rumah. Marquees musti mau, kalau hujan habis basah without marquees. Tables and chairs some more. Foods, cater bole, masak sendiri bole to your own standard.What you need to do , just pay. But with RM10K, can it be managed? Issit possible to accommodate your guests, families and friends?

Choice D: Demand more than RM10K lah!!

Based on true experience, RM15K for Choice C is enough. With pelamin, 3 pasang baju pengantin, foods for 500 guests, marquees, table + chairs, upah itu, upah ini.. Alhamdulilah semua berjalan dengan lancar. Syukur Allah. Families and friends of course satisfied, no need RSVP!!!

You always can ask your spouse to make some loan. But, the aftermath? sendiri mo ingat lah.

The older brother. Day-to-day.

I have one 5 years old boy who likes to sleep as late as possible at night and an almost 6 months old baby girl who does not sleep for long(er) as baby should do!

My eldest, is full with energy all day. Yes, every single day, even weekends. School doesnt wear him off. Still with full tank of energy after school. His routine (school days) - wake up (around 1030am - he goes to sleep late every night) - brunch - lil' bit telly/school exercises - ready to go school (his school starts at 130pm).

130pm-430pm - School period.

Home after school, first thing we want him to do is, a quick shower (sweating from playing, dirt, etc). Then, some snacks (bread, nuggets,apple, etc) and most important thing is drink alot of WATER, well, we give juices every now and then but NO FIZZY drinks - we've learnt our lesson!

Then, his "resting time" up to 45 minutes max. His "resting time" consists, snacking with telly ON. (Gives us some time to do some-some for ourselves). After 45 minutes - we start his evening with prays, school works, revisions, exercises (spelling and maths) and reading. These activities gain him gold stars - 5 gold stars in a day will give him access to computer games (PS2, Nintendo DS, or Wii Games) - and it has to be 5 gold stars.

Dinner normally ready around 8pm for him. Then what? a lil' bit of telly wont hurt. Wont you feel tired or worn out after school, nice shower, snacking, resting, studies, dinner? I would be dying for pillow by then. Oh no, not this boy. by 10pm his energy tank is back to normal! Trust me. We, both husband and I had to scream like Tarzan for him to sleep or at least go to his bed and it feels like every night is a Tarzan's night!

The baby sister @23 weeks to date.

Arent babies supposed to sleep at least 2 hours after feeding? na'ah not this baby. She sleeps 45-60 minutes (tapping her back to sleep inclusive) everytime after feeding. Last feeding of the night at 1100pm and the next feeding is at 12.01am!(?). Then in between 1-2 hours till 930am and she refuses to go back to sleep after that. She'll scream her lungs out if you put her back to her cot! so, 930am it is. She'll have me for 2 hours at least - bath, feed and play inclusive until the big brother is up.

We will drop big brother to school around 1pm.

When just the 2 of us at home, I feed her in the bedroom to send signals, it is of course her nap time. She eventually will go to sleep, few weeks back, she napped for 2 hours - but lately the 2 hours seems impossible. Arent they supposed to sleep longer hours? Im confused. I need more than 2 hours nap and she only nap less than that? hmmm...and arent they supposed to sleep straight 8 hours all thru the night? Oh, sorry, thats me and my no-more beauty sleeps! Sometimes I wonder, where are my weekends? Not so exciting to be SAHM issit.

Is this normal? or is this genetic?
